The Weingarten logistics centre opened on time

“A significant milestone in the company’s development“
KLOCKE Verpackungs-Service inaugurated the new logistics centre as planned on Friday, November 24th, 2023. The Weingarten packaging experts were celebrating the completion of the building project. In a joint inspection, the 50 representatives of all companies involved, guests and employees visited the impressive and huge new warehouse and its associated work areas.
The managing director of the KLOCKE Verpackungs-Service GmbH, Dr Matthias Linder warmly thanked all collaborators involved in this pioneering construction project. He emphasized: “It’s been 20 years since the last construction project was completed. The new logistics center marks a major milestone, as it almost doubles our company’s footprint here in Weingarten. It exhibits the strong growth that we want to achieve here in the next few years.”
By the end of the year, our new logistics center will be fully integrated into the operational processes, bringing about significant improvements in areas that had reached their limits over time.
The KLOCKE logistics centre Weingarten – key numbers:
- About 20 million euros total investment
- The new building´s floor area extends over 6.440 m2 ,representing a significant growth of the existing floor space, which covered 7.440 m2
- Designed to be resource-saving and climate-friendly:
The centre is designed in accordance with the highest energy standard GEG 40 (Building Energy Act): It’s equipped with heat pumps and a photovoltaic system of just over 600 kWp. - 9,500 pallet spaces
- Ample space for workstations in logistics, incoming goods inspection, and for the construction departments with machining. Clean room areas equipped with airlocks to ensure maximum safety and security.
